 We now make all our tents in our new base in Somerset.

We are a highly skilled team of Machinists, welders and wood workers. we have taken the basic styles from our Indian range and are now crafting them to a higher standard. This enables us to perform a bespoke service.

Our team 

Our machinist, Marie, joined White Canvas in April 2009. With over 35 years experience as a machinist she gained her skills working for local companies in the leather and sheepskin trade makings coats, shoes, boots and slippers. When the sale of sheepskin clothing died, local companies turned to other forms of manufacturing, some making handbags, purses and belts, Marie used her skills to make numnah’s for the general public and for the Queens Horse Guard. As well as making sheepskin rug sets for Rolls Royce and Bentley Cars. Her hobbies also involve machining and sewing for friends and family making wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses and general repairs. With such a varied knowledge of sewing her skills have been easily transferred to working with canvas and making bespoke tents and linings.
